How quickly does Google pickup your new website and domain name?
I did a post a few months ago about how quickly search engines pickup new websites - you can read the post here.
The WarmLegs.co.uk site was picked up by robots within 3 1/2 hours which really surprised me - and by picked up I mean they visited all of the 3 pages on the site - not just the home page.
The site didn’t appear in the Google database using the site:warmlegs.co.uk syntax until about 48 hours later, but still quite a quick response.
I’ve just done something similar with A Really Good Read.com, but that hasn’t been picked up as quickly as WarmLegs.co.uk did. However, it was only 12 hours ago, so there is still time!
However, the A Really Good Read.com is something different that I’m trying. You may have heard the term “Content is king” meaning that building a website with decent content will get you ranked well. Its obviously not that easy as regular updates, structure of site, how well its SEO’d etc are just some of the many factors that can affect your ranking.
